Collinson was founded in 1988 in Edinburgh by Peter Campbell, the same year his son John, was born. What started as a small unit in Peffermill quickly grew, leading to the opening of our flagship store in Roseburn in 1993.
From day one, Peter built the company on a simple set of values: great quality product is at the heart of everything we do, and we go above and beyond for every single customer. With these principles at our core, Collinson expanded to two additional showrooms in Dundee and Inverness, along with an industrial warehouse in Dalgety Bay to efficiently pack and ship orders all over the UK!
What truly sets Collinson apart is the people behind it. Every part of the business is run by real people with a genuine passion for tiles—some, quite literally, for a lifetime! Peter’s very first employee, Andy, is still with us today, still our trusted driver. Our office manager, Davy, joined in the first year of the business in Peffermill and still keeps Edinburgh ticking over. Jenny, our financial controller, joined the business in 1988, and continues to run a tight ship today! Collinson is more than a business for staff and customers alike, it’s a family.

At the helm now, is that same son born in 1988. John has been immersed in the world of tiles since birth.
Legend has it his first word was "ceramic".
With an encyclopaedic knowledge of the industry, John is the real-life Shazam of tiles—always on hand to offer expert advice and technical guidance.

Park Circus
The old Glasgow Registry Office in Park Circus was converted to a residential property and Collinson Ceramics were delighted to be involved in the tiling of 10 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, main kitchen, servery kitchen, utility room and the grand hallway.
Edinburgh Grand
Edinburgh Grand is a luxury residence in St Andrew Square in the heart of Edinburgh, with beautiful apartments available to book for stays ranging from from one night to a year.
We worked closely with Edinburgh Grand’s designer to create visually stunning public areas and bathrooms. We created bespoke products to meet their needs exactly, and ensure guests are blown away.
